Method of use of Organic Cacao


Organic cacao powder or cocoa powder has always been known to humans for its refreshing and relaxing effect it has on the body. It is known to boost the energy and has the ability to enhance the mood of a person. The cacao powder is prepared by squeezing the oil from the cacao nibs which are obtained from the finest quality of cacao trees. 

Origin of Cocoa and Cacao
The cacao powder is obtained from the fruit of the Cacao tree (Theobroma cacao) which in modern day is called “Cocoa”. The transformation in the name from cacao to cocoa was probably a mistake in proper pronunciation of the name of the chocolate tree. A large variety of chocolates and chocolate based products are produced from the cacao of which Dark chocolates are the most beneficial due to their high anti oxidant content.  
Benefits of Organic Cacao 
Organic cacao is known to maintain the level of blood pressure within controllable limits. It has a relaxing effect on the body and helps to ease out stress. It is also an important source of magnesium which is required in order to make the bones strong and help the heart pump blood effectively to the different parts of the body. Cacao powder is a very important source of anti oxidants and the amount of anti oxidants found in cacao far exceeds that of red wine, fruit drinks, green tea etc. 
Cacao powder is also known to have a protective effect on the heart, brain and other organs. It helps in increasing the blood flow to the brain and reduces the chances of occurrence of heart diseases in individuals. Organic cacao also helps in lowering the glucose levels of the blood and hence keeps diseases such as diabetes in check. A research on the effects of cacao has revealed that, it also helps in maintaining the quality of skin and preserving its beautiful and young appearance. This is probably because cacao contains large amounts of sulfur and thus also helps in maintaining good quality hair and nails. 


The cacao powder taken along with water after being sweetened with honey (nectar) and is used for making hot chocolate. It can also be used in cookies, smoothies, milkshakes etc. 
The organic cocoa powder has been long used by people across the globe for its rich flavors and medicinal properties and it is most likely to seek even greater attention due to its various beneficial health effects.
